Ethan Hawke at NYC Marathon 2015

I’m hobbling out of Central Park after a cramp-filled finish when I hear “Hey Olajuwon!” I turn around and its Mr. Training Day himself. “I saw your jersey for the last 5 miles, and I was just motivated to beat you. Good race man” Apparently Mr. Hawke was dealing with cramps as well, and took inspiration from my pain, and obvious impeccable jersey choice, in finishing his first NYC. He beat me by 4 seconds, but he also made Gattaca, so we’re even.
